Update April 2026: Bloomingdale’s The Outlet opened at Woodbury Common Premium Outlets on November 1, 2025. We visited in December 2025 and again in March 2026, and this page is now a post-opening walkthrough rather than an announcement — what the store actually looks like, what’s on the racks, and how it compares to the Saks OFF 5TH next door. Original announcement details at the bottom.
Bloomingdale’s is the second large department-store outlet on site after Saks OFF 5TH. Having both inside the same outlet center gives you a genuine A/B comparison — you can walk from one to the other in under five minutes and see which carries the brand you’re after at a better price on the day.
What to Expect from the New Bloomingdale’s Outlet
Bloomingdale’s The Outlet is the chain’s off-price format — think of it as Bloomingdale’s answer to Saks OFF 5TH or Nordstrom Rack. Merchandise is a mix of made-for-outlet product and markdowns pulled from full-line stores. On our visits, roughly 60–70% of the floor was made-for-outlet and the rest was genuine past-season Bloomingdale’s inventory with the original price tickets still visible underneath the yellow outlet sticker.
What we actually found on the floor (visits December 2025 + March 2026):
- Women’s apparel: Strong on contemporary denim (Rag & Bone, AG, Mother around $79–$119 vs. $195–$250 full-line), cocktail dresses, and Aqua-label basics. Size range skews 0–14 with limited plus; petite was a single rack in the back.
- Men’s: Polo shirts, Hugo Boss dress shirts around $39–$59, suiting separates, and a sneaker wall (Cole Haan, Ecco, selected Puma). The suit section is small — if you need a full suit, Brooks Brothers Factory across the mall is still the better bet.
- Shoes & handbags: The strongest section. We saw Michael Kors totes at $99, Marc Jacobs small leather goods at 50% off the tag, and Rebecca Minkoff crossbodies around $129. Clearance handbag corner rotates weekly — worth checking even if the front wall looks picked over.
- Kids: Limited section — roughly one aisle. For kids’ volume shopping you’re still better off at Carter’s or Crewcuts.
- Home & bedding: Hotel Collection sheets, throw pillows, Le Creuset-branded serveware (not to be confused with the Le Creuset outlet), and a small fragrance counter. Good for gifting, thin on big-ticket home decor.
Pricing reality check: Signage reads “up to 65% off full-line prices” and the genuine markdowns from original Bloomingdale’s inventory do hit that range. The made-for-outlet product, however, was designed at a lower price point to start with — it’s good value, but you’re not getting 65% off a full-line dress, you’re getting a dress that was never sold at the full-line price.
Store Location and Grand Opening Details
The store sits along the main Red Apple Court walkway. Coming from the main parking area, walk past the food court and Coach — Bloomingdale’s is on the right, with a full glass storefront and the brand’s signature black-and-white color scheme. It’s hard to miss.
- Opened: November 1, 2025
- Address: 223 Red Apple Court, Unit #0223, Central Valley, NY 10917
- District: The store is situated in the Hudson Valley District (green area on the mall map), the largest district at Woodbury Common, which is also home to other iconic brands like Gucci and Polo Ralph Lauren. Â

A New Anchor Store for an Unmatched Shopping Experience
Bloomingdale’s vs. Saks OFF 5TH at Woodbury — the honest comparison
Both are department-store outlets; both sit in the Hudson Valley District within a five-minute walk of each other. Our read after visiting both twice:
- Handbags: Roughly even. Saks OFF 5TH has more contemporary designer handbags (Tory Burch, Kate Spade); Bloomingdale’s leans Rebecca Minkoff, Marc Jacobs, and Michael Kors.
- Denim: Bloomingdale’s wins — better selection across AG, Mother, Rag & Bone.
- Suiting & formalwear: Saks OFF 5TH wins — deeper men’s suiting inventory.
- Shoes: Even. Shop both for the size you need.
- Home goods: Bloomingdale’s is better organized; Saks has a wider luxury-fragrance counter.
Pro tip: hit Bloomingdale’s first if you’re optimizing for denim or contemporary handbags. Hit Saks first for suiting or fragrance.
The opening is part of a broader multi-year expansion at Woodbury Common — see our piece on the VIP Suite and the 200-room luxury hotel also in the pipeline. Bloomingdale’s was the first major anchor delivery in that sequence.
